I think its the best Daredevil comic I ever read. Love the drawing style and the storyline is very emotional and deep.

I just read it last year and it was a wonderful reminder of how good Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale tend to be when they work together. There are some beautiful scenes in there (“Testif–” ah, I won’t spoil it 😉 ) and the affection it conveys for the early days of Daredevil’s career make me want to seek out the character’s first issues… even though I know the tone’s probably going to be pretty different.

Also, I’ve only seen snippets of John Romita Jr’s work on MWF, but I could not disagree with you more on his art. You bring up good points about Elektra and Matt’s sneakers, but there are scenes in the series where JRJR’s art shows a polish and grasp of techniques like perspective and composition that I haven’t seen appear as much in his other comics… and I say that as a fan of his Spider-Man work with JMS. Here’s an example of what I mean:
